Maker Roadie (Before & After the Event)

Maker Roadies help to load-in, setup and assemble of the MakerFaire Orlando experience. We will be arranging fences and gates, building stages, building a Combat Robot arena and other pre and post-event needs.  We can't get this show off the ground without hands and hearts to help pick it up... and move it over there...and then pack it up for next year!

Production Assistant

Production Assistants help with various "behind-the-scenes" jobs for the Maker Faire Orlando crew. Often this is problem solving, handling unplanned issues, or helping someone that needs assistance. If you are looking for a production experience and can spend an entire day, or the entire weekend with us, please email volunteers@makerfaireorlando.com so we can discuss adding you to the all-volunteer production crew :)

Crowd Safety

Crowd Safety volunteers will support the event's larger offerings, including Robot Ruckus, "The Dark Side" Venue, Stage Performances, and Power Racing events. You know which side of the line you're supposed to stand on, and are happy to help our guests find it. You may support multiple locations throughout the day.

Learn-to-Solder

Learn to Solder volunteers will help our guests make their first bold steps into a world of creatively sticking metal to other metal using metal.  Safety orientation is required for this role.  It sounds dangerous, but you'll be fine. We'd prefer you to have some basic soldering experience, but if not, we will teach you!
